Bongs and their love for oriental cuisine goes a long way and every Bong has a Chinese restaurant he swears by. Like most of us, I too had only a set of Chinese restaurants marked as my favourite and go-to for comfort food. But recently after having a meal as Mamagoto, I have now happily added it to that fav list 🙂
I have now visited Mamagoto twice, and needless to say in both the case I have been completely bowled over by their unique dishes and authentic Thai flavours. We started with a serving of Hot Basil Chicken Cups which with its unique basil spiced chicken served on fresh lettuce leaf cups made a rocking starter and had us craving for more! Next was the Java grilled fish in Sambal Sauce, which again with its unique Indonesian spices was a winner.
Each and every dish tried, from the Chiang Mai Train Noodles, in typical Khao Suey style to The Laksa Tribute was unique and heart warming. However my personal favourite is the Smoky BBQ Pork Belly Bowl with its perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth perk belly portions.
Mamagoto has range of unique sauces and dippings which they serve along with their disher and I love those. When I casually expressed my love for these, our waiter for the day kindly served us with a tasting platter – I specifically loved their version of sweet and spicy chilli dipping.
Monkey Verdict: Noting like a heart warming bowl of perfect Mamagoto noodles – Eat like a Panda!
